Senior Manager, Data Science

Responsibilities

• Shape the Data Science and Applied AI roadmap, identifying high-impact areas for predictive modeling, optimization, and modern AI
• Lead the development of production models and decision-support systems for matching, scheduling, and operational prioritization
• Apply modern AI, including agentic workflows, to improve decision-making and operational execution
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations from problem definition through deployment and iteration
• Establish standards for evaluating, monitoring, and responsibly deploying machine learning and AI-enabled systems
• Lead, coach, and grow the team as a hands-on player-coach

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, operations research, or applied AI
• 3+ years of experience leading teams
• Proven track record of building or leading production models that influence business outcomes
• Ability to determine appropriate technical approaches (optimization, simulation, AI agents, etc.) for complex problems
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders on ambiguous problems
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and executive audiences
• Strong people leadership skills with a focus on talent development and technical culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with marketplace, logistics, workforce, or scheduling systems
• Experience in healthcare or complex operating environments
• Expertise in optimization, forecasting, recommender systems, causal inference, or agentic systems
