Senior Mobile Core Architect

OXIO is the world’s first telecom-as-a-service (TaaS) platform. We are democratizing telecom and making it easily accessible for brands and enterprises to fully own and operate proprietary mobile networks designed to support their own customers needs.

Responsibilities

• Configure STPs, DRAs, HLR/HSS, SMSC, SGSN, GGSN/PGW, SBC, and other network equipment
• Use and build dashboards to discover issues and patterns
• Follow communication procedures for internal and external incident handling
• Drive the implementation of telecom interconnection with providers
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, security audits, and emergency response
• Conduct Wireshark tracing of critical infrastructure to debug issues
• Participate in occasional on-call requirements

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the core network domain with mobile networks
• BSc degree in Telecommunication or Computer Science
• 10+ years of experience with SS7, Sigtran, Diameter, and Packet Switched protocols (GGSN/PGw, GTP, GRX, IPX, etc.)
• Expertise in circuit switched protocols (SS7, SCCP, TCAP, MAP, CAMEL) and SCTP
• Experience with Voice SIP / RTP, ISUP, and IMS (VoLTE and VoWiFi)
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix based systems and shell environments
• Hands-on experience with Wireshark and advanced testing tools
• Understanding of 3GPP, ITU-T, and ANSI standards
• Knowledge of roaming agreements, IR.21, and IREG testing
• Experience with Online Charging System (OCS) and CAMEL
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work morning/afternoon shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of scripting experience in Python or Bash
• Knowledge of Voice Mail, IVR, and PBX systems
