Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day database platform operations, including performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Handle application management operations such as provisioning, decommissioning, patching, and upgrades
• Participate in on-call rotations and act as an escalation point for junior DBAs
• Perform scheduled maintenance, database patching, and upgrades
• Provide database expertise to development and support teams
• Research new functionalities, test them, and write documentation and runbooks

Requirements

• 6-10 years of Oracle Database and RAC administration
• 6-10 years of Oracle Database backup and recovery experience
• Experience in Oracle Dataguard administration
• Experience in Oracle GoldenGate administration
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Basic understanding of computer networking and SAN
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Ability to participate in a 1-week on-call rotation
• Availability for monthly maintenance windows (3rd Sunday of the month)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SQL and PL/SQL programming
• Experience in bash scripting
• Experience in python programming
• Experience with Jenkins job execution
