Senior Payroll Accountant

Responsibilities

• Own payroll accounting and payroll-related operations across multiple jurisdictions and legal entities
• Calculate payroll and personnel-related expenses for assigned entities
• Perform payroll reconciliations, accruals, and support month-end close
• Coordinate with HR, Legal, Treasury, Tax, and external payroll providers, EORs, and accounting firms
• Review payroll calculations prepared by outsourced teams and service partners
• Maintain accurate payroll data, documentation, controls, and reporting
• Support payroll-related audits and resolve operational issues promptly
• Identify process gaps and improve workflows for scalability and efficiency

Requirements

• 6+ years of accounting experience with strong payroll accounting exposure
• Solid understanding of payroll reconciliations, controls, accruals, and month-end close
• Experience working with external payroll providers, outsourced teams, and EORs
• Knowledge of payroll tax and compliance requirements
• Multi-jurisdictional payroll experience
• Experience with payroll software and ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English, written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with payroll requirements in the UAE and UK
• Experience improving payroll processes in a fast-growing or evolving environment
