Senior Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build key services for the GaaS platform, including player segmentation, offer systems, leaderboards, and analytical pipelines
• Take responsibility for technical architecture from initial design documents to production deployment
• Define and implement platform development standards, including API design, observability, and CI/CD
• Collaborate with other teams to define backend service requirements
• Make infrastructure decisions regarding compute, storage, networking, and messaging
• Ensure platform quality through load testing, reliability engineering, and failure mode analysis

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Experience with distributed cloud systems on AWS
• Production experience with Python or Go is a major plus
• Experience in REST API design and development
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience setting up CI/CD for microservices
• Experience developing unit and integration tests
• Experience designing event-driven systems
• Experience implementing observability
