Senior Privacy Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects across key company-wide objectives within the Privacy Functional Team
• Design systems for improving search indexes and AI features without compromising user privacy
• Build new features for the Tracker Radar crawler to detect emerging privacy threats
• Implement and maintain privacy features such as Web Tracking and Email Protections
• Own major components of privacy technology, including maintenance and improvement
• Participate in privacy review and audit processes to ensure product alignment with privacy principles
• Mentor other engineers to support career growth and team expansion

Requirements

• Experience working on privacy solutions in an engineering capacity (e.g., tracker blocker, differential privacy)
• Deep technical understanding of online privacy threats and protection solutions
• Proficiency in Go, Node.js, Python, or Perl
• Ability to lead and collaborate on high-impact projects from proposal through post-mortem
• Strong ability to solve vague problems and propose innovative solutions
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pragmatic, performant, and testable code development
