Senior Product Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Close the gap between intended design and shipped product by working directly in the codebase
• Partner with front-end engineers to ensure execution meets high quality bars
• Prototype in code to a production standard using semantic markup and accessibility
• Develop tools to accelerate design and engineering workflows and maintain design system consistency
• Lead highly impactful projects from ideation to execution for millions of users
• Communicate visual and interaction recommendations through high-quality mockups and prototypes
• Implement complex motion and interaction behaviors including easing curves and spring physics
• Manage projects of varying complexity from proposal through release

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product design or design engineering roles
• 2+ years in senior-level design positions at global consumer brands
• Ability to prototype in code to a production standard
• Proficiency in managing complex projects and cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience with design system architecture including token layering and semantic naming
• Ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative data for research and experimentation
• Proficiency in writing creative briefs that define project goals and success metrics
