Responsibilities

• Own design end-to-end from problem definition through launch and iteration
• Turn ambiguous, high-stakes financial and operational workflows into intuitive experiences
• Contribute to roadmap and product strategy with a user-grounded point of view
• Move quickly from sketches to interactive prototypes and high-craft, production-ready designs
• Lead lightweight, self-serve research to validate direction and generate insights
• Build and evolve Overflow's design system, establishing foundations and patterns
• Participate in critiques and present work in product leadership reviews

Requirements

• 5–7 years of product design experience shipping products across mobile and desktop
• Portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking and exceptional visual/interaction craft
• Experience designing complex systems and flows (B2B, SaaS, or fintech preferred)
• Ability to own ambiguity and drive projects independently in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in prototyping with Figma
• Strong communication and storytelling skills to align engineers, PMs, and leadership
• Collaborative, low-ego approach to feedback and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience scaling a design system and organization from early foundations
• Fintech, payments, or other regulated/high-trust domain experience
• Comfort prototyping in code or with AI tools
