Senior Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build systems powering Kota's Investments products including pensions, retirement savings, and Spend
• Own technical architecture for the Investments stream, integrating with external pension providers and payment infrastructure like Stripe
• Contribute to frontend code using React and TypeScript when required
• Join client calls to understand problems and proactively shape the product roadmap
• Use AI actively in daily workflows for building, reviewing, and shipping code
• Contribute to code reviews, technical planning, and system observability

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building production backend systems
• Proficiency with .NET, PostgreSQL, and Azure or AWS
• Ability to work with frontend technologies like React and TypeScript
• Experience designing and maintaining third-party API integrations
• Strong understanding of data modelling and event-driven patterns
• Product-oriented mindset with a bias toward proactive idea generation
• Comfortable with ambiguity and ownership in a fast-growing startup environment
• AI-forward mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with card issuing or wallet provisioning
• Experience in fintech or pension infrastructure
