Senior Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver medium-to-large FinOps projects end-to-end from design through production
• Build expertise in FinOps systems including Stripe, LayerFi, and Cherry workflows
• Participate in the Engineering Architecture Process to influence technical decisions
• Lead non-project initiatives such as testing standards, documentation, or code review practices
• Mentor IC1–IC2 engineers and act as a culture carrier for strong engineering practices

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience including schema/API design and data modeling
• Deep PostgreSQL fluency including query optimization and schema design
• Experience building and hardening third-party integrations, ideally in payments or financial systems
• Proven track record of owning ambiguous projects end-to-end as a senior IC
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction
• Proficiency with Python or Django is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with async processing
• Familiarity with idempotency and failure handling in financial workflows
• Comfort in high-ownership, early-stage environments
