Responsibilities

  • Shape the AI/ML roadmap and long-term vision to help users learn and improve at chess
  • Expand the role of AI in core products like Game Review, Play Coach, and FairPlay
  • Lead new initiatives including human-like bots and personalized coaching
  • Partner deeply with engineering to define technical approaches and drive execution
  • Define success metrics and evaluation criteria for AI models in ambiguous environments
  • Use AI tools to prototype, de-risk, and accelerate product development
  • Communicate clearly and asynchronously in a globally remote environment

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product management
  • 4+ years of experience shipping consumer-facing AI/ML products
  • Experience working with LLMs and quantitative ML models
  • Technical fluency in engineering pipelines and data-driven decision making
  • Ability to provide substantial overlap with US Eastern and Pacific time zones

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep passion for chess and familiarity with the Chess.com product suite
  • Excellent product taste and understanding of user needs across different skill levels
  • AI-native workflow, using AI daily to prototype and explore ideas
  • High-velocity written communication skills for a remote-first culture
