Senior Product Manager, Payments

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end payments delivery roadmap, including financial reporting, payout operations, refunds, disputes, and tax compliance.
• Drive the rollout of the Stripe Connect / PFaaS model, managing onboarding flows and NetSuite reconciliation.
• Partner with Engineering to handle technical scoping and integration with banking partners and payment processors.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical product requirements.
• Utilize AI tools to accelerate spec writing, data analysis, prototyping, and the synthesis of customer feedback.
• Manage a complex backlog across multiple workstreams, ensuring accuracy and traceability of payment data.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of experience in product management or a related discipline (accounting, compliance, or finance operations).
• Deep expertise in fintech, payments, or financial services, specifically regarding settlements, payouts, or reconciliation.
• Proven ability to work effectively with Finance and Accounting stakeholders and understand their operational language.
• An AI-forward mindset, actively using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor to increase delivery velocity.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with payout or settlement products and familiarity with payment processor ecosystems.
• Experience building and supporting internal tools for Finance, Ops, or Accounting teams.
• Proficiency in SQL or a strong ability to work directly with data teams to perform independent analysis.
