Senior Project Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead technical deliverables for BESS project design, construction, and commissioning
• Support EPC Leadership on supplier and contractor management across multiple vendors
• Partner with Transmission and Interconnection teams on interconnection agreements
• Assist with preparation and issuance of RFQ/RFP packages to contractors and consultants
• Support EPC Procurement with project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical requirements
• Attend meetings with developers, contractors, consultants, and utility companies
• Travel to project sites to support construction-related tasks
• Provide input on permitting and regulatory applications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Engineering focus preferred)
• 5-7+ years of experience in project engineering, development, procurement, or construction management
• Experience in power generation, utility, or transmission industries
• Experience with high-voltage utility substations, switchyards, and transmission systems
• Understanding of project development elements like permitting, regulatory, and interconnection
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD or Bluebeam
• Ability to travel up to 30% annually
