Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage pre-contract activities for complex building and engineering projects
  • Develop and review project scopes, timelines, and budgets
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with organizational goals
  • Oversee the preparation of tender documents and bid evaluations
  • Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and international standards
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop junior project team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on pre-contract activities
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale building and engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent contract negotiation and management skills
  • Proficiency in budgeting, cost estimation, and financial analysis
  • Advanced risk assessment and management capabilities
  • Experience working in the Middle East construction industry
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE building codes and regulations
  • Understanding of international construction standards and practices
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and LEED certification
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera)
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
