Senior QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build a test automation strategy and framework from scratch using Cypress
• Lead the implementation of AI-driven testing tools, such as visual regression or self-healing tests
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for APIs, UIs, and backend services
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Establish and evangelize QA automation best practices and standards across the engineering organization
• Perform exploratory and non-functional testing, including performance and load testing
• Act as the primary quality advocate within the Platform team

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with 3+ years dedicated to building automation frameworks
• Expert-level proficiency with Cypress and a track record of building scalable test suites
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Solid experience with CI/CD principles and GitHub Actions
• Extensive experience in API test automation and contract testing
• Advanced English fluency (written and spoken)
• Proven history of mentoring engineers to foster a quality-first culture
• Experience with coding AI agents (e.g., Cursor, Claude)

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like K6 or Apache JMeter
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or GCP
• Experience testing systems that utilize message brokers like RabbitMQ
• Experience defining technical roadmaps for quality assurance from the ground up
