Senior QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review business and technical requirements to ensure testability and clarity
• Design, document, and execute manual and automated test cases based on functional specifications
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to resolve issues
• Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing to ensure release stability
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and reporting activities
• Maintain traceability between requirements and test cases

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including manual and automation testing
• Strong experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, or JUnit
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Proficiency in writing test scripts using Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior team members
