Senior QRadar Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the overall health and monitoring of the QRadar deployment
• Onboard new log sources and resolve ingestion issues
• Perform performance analysis, tuning, and optimization
• Manage data retention and storage costs
• Build dashboards, reports, and optimize AQL queries
• Handle software patching and maintenance
• Lead and mentor the SIEM team
• Design and manage QRadar architecture, including HA and DR
• Establish and maintain the strategic platform roadmap

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years in IT Security
• Minimum of 5 years of QRadar experience
• Expert-level experience with enterprise-scale IBM QRadar deployments
• Deep understanding of QRadar distributed architectures (Consoles, Collectors, Processors, etc.)
• Proficiency in onboarding log sources and troubleshooting parsing/normalization
• Advanced knowledge of Ariel Query Language (AQL)
• Strong foundation in security engineering, log management, and network technologies
• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

• IBM Certified Associate/Deployment Professional for QRadar SIEM
• Experience with QRadar patching, upgrades, and version migrations
• Familiarity with QRadar apps and the App Framework
• Prior staff-augmentation or consulting experience
