Senior SCADA Controls Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and operations of control system infrastructure
• PPC, HMI, and RTU programming including technical documentation
• Support day-to-day plant automation tasks to ensure network reliability and availability
• Provide technical support and solve complex operational technology/control system problems
• Oversee network technology upgrades, hardware installation, and integration testing
• Participate in on-field construction and plant commissioning activities
• Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for control and instrumentation related systems
• Work cross-functionally with internal groups and external EPC vendors

Requirements

• BA/BS in a related field, electrical engineering preferred
• 6+ years of related industry experience
• Expertise in designing and maintaining plant control systems using SCADA and PLC platforms
• Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition
• Experience with Schneider Electric Modicon PLCs, SEL RTACs, and Novatech Orions
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols: DNP3.0, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT
• Programming experience in Python, IEC 61131-3, C, C++, or C#
• Strong understanding of cyber-security best practices and IT/OT standards
• Knowledge of NERC/CIP/NIST procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the renewable energy industry
• Knowledge of battery energy storage systems use cases (PFR, FFR, and black start)
