Senior Security Engineer, Detection and Response

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust security controls and policies across the business
• Run and manage detection tooling and automation across the organization
• Address findings from automation and tooling to ensure prompt remediation
• Stay informed about the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance mandates in cloud environments
• Offer expert guidance and mentorship to junior security team members
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate security requirements into IT projects and business initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in information security
• At least 3 years concentrated on detection and response
• Deep understanding of AWS architecture and security services
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Go
• Solid knowledge of network security, encryption technologies, and secure coding practices
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Advanced degrees or certifications such as CISSP or AWS Certified Security Specialty
