Job Description

ZEDEDA is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to contribute to the design, build, and operation of our global cloud and on-premise infrastructure from Abu Dhabi. This role supports 24/7 operations, drives scalability and resilience, and collaborates across engineering and product teams to deliver a secure, scalable IoT edge orchestration platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate ZEDEDA’s global cloud and on-premise (including air-gapped) infrastructure
  • Support 24/7 operations of ZEDEDA’s SaaS service and customer on-premise deployments with a focus on scalability, resilience, and innovation
  • Troubleshoot and solve highly complex distributed systems issues
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape architecture and feature development
  • Share knowledge and best practices to elevate engineering excellence across the organization
  • Maintain cross-functional communication with ZEDEDA teams and contribute to documentation
  • Participate in and improve the on-call rotation and operational processes

Requirements

  • Must live or relocate to Abu Dhabi
  • 7+ years supporting large-scale, distributed installations
  • Broad expertise in Kubernetes and Docker
  • Strong experience with Apache Kafka
  • Experience operating hybrid cloud and on-premise environments
  • Deep hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices
  • Strong Python programming skills for automation at scale
  • Demonstrated SRE practices and ability to guide peers
  • Experience contributing to technical vision and infrastructure strategy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with distributed teams
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and outcome-driven

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
  • Background in open source software development
  • Industry recognition or contributions to open-source communities
