Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Network Observability }

Responsibilities

• Administer and operate Linux and Windows virtual machines in a cloud environment
• Maintain network observability platforms focusing on Syslog-NG and Trapd
• Plan and execute operating system, application, and security upgrades
• Investigate automated alerts, incidents, and platform performance issues
• Automate recurring operational tasks using Bash, PowerShell, or Python
• Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Participate in an on-call rotation for incident response

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related technical field or equivalent experience
• 5 to 7 years of enterprise experience in systems or network engineering
• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience
• 3+ years of network engineering experience
• 3+ years of hands-on Syslog-NG experience
• Strong understanding of SNMP, NetFlow, and gNMI
• Hands-on experience with Azure or comparable cloud platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation
• Experience with IBM SevOne or Broadcom AppNeta observability platforms
• Working knowledge of Ansible and Ansible playbooks
• Intermediate knowledge of KQL or T-SQL
• Experience connecting network telemetry with AI workflows
