Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Backed by tier-1 investors like Spark Capital and Khosla Ventures, we empower patients to access their health records and transform them into fit-for-purpose datasets for research and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Design reliability foundations including on-call rotations, incident roles, and blameless postmortems
• Shape the platform roadmap and propose infrastructure solutions
• Build and operate the core reliability toolkit: observability, CI/CD, IaC, and incident response
• Embed with product engineers to improve service operability and operational literacy
• Define SLOs in partnership with product and engineering stakeholders
• Investigate incidents and implement both code and process-based fixes
• Contribute to compliance and security posture (audit trails, access controls, environment isolation)

Requirements

• 5+ years in SRE, platform, DevOps, or backend roles with production ownership
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (Python, Go, TypeScript, or similar)
• Proven track record of solving complex problems and improving engineering processes
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to operate independently in a self-directed, greenfield environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, fintech) or with HIPAA/SOC 2 frameworks
• Experience as an early or first infrastructure/reliability hire
• Experience introducing reliability practices to new teams
