Senior Site Reliability/GitOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive the development of automation and GitOps as an embedded tech lead
• Design and architect services to be offered to the organization as products
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to increase automation and improve processes
• Automate software operations for consistency across private and public clouds
• Maintain operational responsibility for core services, networks, and infrastructure
• Implement and maintain observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch
• Provide assistance to globally distributed engineering and operations peers
• Carry final responsibility for time-critical escalations

Requirements

• Python software development experience with large projects
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration systems
• Proven experience managing and deploying cloud infrastructure with code
• Practical knowledge of Linux networking, routing, and firewalls
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise Linux servers
• Affinity with Linux storage solutions like Ceph or Databases
• Extensive knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies
• Bachelor's degree or greater in Computer Science or a related engineering field
• Strong communication skills in English
• Passion for open-source, specifically Ubuntu or Debian

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with troubleshooting from kernel to web
• Ability to thrive in fast-changing, distributed environments
