Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, well-tested code and lead technical discussions
• Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable systems using ADRs and design reviews
• Mentor junior engineers and coach team members through structured development
• Lead large, ambiguous projects from design through production and maintenance
• Own incident response and postmortems for team services
• Use AI tools to accelerate prototyping, scaffolding, and exploring solution spaces

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong full stack proficiency across frontend and backend systems
• Experience architecting distributed systems in cloud-native environments (AWS, serverless, containers)
• Proven ability to lead large projects end-to-end
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising technical standards
• Strong communication skills for writing RFCs and leading design reviews
• Familiarity with secure SDLC practices and threat modeling

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare data standards like FHIR or HL7
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, or SOC2
• Familiarity with data engineering technologies like Spark or data lake architectures
• Experience building platform services or large-scale data ingestion pipelines
• Experience working in a remote-first environment
