Senior Software Engineer, Agents

About the Company

Replicant builds an AI-powered platform that helps contact centers resolve requests, identify issues, and improve agent performance using conversation intelligence and AI agents. They are leading the shift from legacy systems to AI-first service for Fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities

• Own AI agents for assigned customers across the full lifecycle: discovery, design, build, evaluation, launch, and live operation
• Map customer workflows and translate business goals into concrete agent scopes
• Design and write agent prompts, instructions, and conversation flows
• Integrate agents into customer systems like CRMs and ticketing services via APIs
• Build test sets to measure agent quality and harden agents against hallucinations and edge cases
• Monitor live conversations and debug issues from logs and transcripts
• Provide feedback to Product teams to improve agent building capabilities

Requirements

• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to earn trust with stakeholders
• Fluency in integration patterns, including connecting to APIs, endpoints, and protocols
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and shaping LLM behavior through instructions and examples
• Ability to decompose ambiguous business problems into concrete technical plans

Preferred Qualifications

• Coding experience in TypeScript, Python, or SQL
• Prior experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or customer-embedded roles
• Domain experience in conversational AI, voice, or contact center technology
• Experience with LLM evaluation tooling and observability
