Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Responsibilities

• Build new products and features from 0 to 1
• Take ownership of projects from conception to shipping, ensuring modular and maintainable code
• Deliver value across the system while considering performance, scale, security, and maintainability
• Shape product direction through user collaboration and roadmap planning
• Provide thoughtful code reviews and technical guidance to peers
• Assist in team growth through interviewing and referrals

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems
• Strong experience with TypeScript and backend technologies (Node.js, databases, distributed systems)
• Demonstrated ownership of high-scale systems with an emphasis on reliability
• Product-oriented engineering mindset
• Experience collaborating with Product and Design partners
• Strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving approach

• Experience with e-commerce or consumer platforms
• Experience with loyalty or rewards programs
• Experience with marketing or lifecycle systems
