Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Prophet Security is disrupting the $400B security labor market by building the future of automated security operations. Our platform analyzes alerts, develops investigation plans, and provides actionable recommendations to automate complex security tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve core backend systems that power the Prophet platform
• Design, build, and scale services that ingest, process, and reason over large volumes of security data
• Design extensible frameworks for third-party security system integrations (SIEMs, EDR/XDR, etc.)
• Build performant Proof-of-Value (PoV) pipelines for fast customer onboarding
• Design storage, indexing, and access patterns for highly dimensional security data
• Write production code, lead technical design, and mentor engineers
• Partner with Product, ML, and Security domain experts to solve distributed-systems problems

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building and deploying scalable backend services
• Proficiency in Go or Python
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
