Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and maintain full stack software solutions of moderate to high complexity
• Build features end-to-end from data layer to UI with ownership over quality and user experience
• Contribute to the design and architecture of new and existing systems
• Develop prototypes and proofs of concept to evaluate new technologies
• Work cross-functionally with product management and quality engineering teams
• Balance feature delivery with proactive investment in tech debt and platform health
• Write thorough unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to drive a "build quality in" culture
• Resolve defects during QA, pre-production, and post-release phases

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing large scale web apps and services
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, and Hibernate
• Strong experience with unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Webflux
• Experience with relational database technology
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM development
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence)
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Solid communication skills for explaining complex technical issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern JavaScript web application frameworks
• Interest or experience in using AI to improve software productivity
