Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of product features for payment processing, subscription billing, and reporting platforms
• Lead integrations with external platforms such as payment processors, card networks, and alternative payment methods
• Ensure robust software delivery through automated build, test, and deployment capabilities
• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues and optimize system performance for money-movement flows
• Mentor junior members of the development team
• Work with Product, Risk, Finance, and Compliance to incorporate regulatory requirements like PCI-DSS and PSD2
• Respond to production issues and apply continuous improvement techniques

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience delivering commercial SaaS solutions using Java
• 4+ years of experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL storage
• 3+ years of experience implementing RESTful service-oriented architectures with public APIs
• 3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB)
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular
• Experience with unit testing, mocking, and automation
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Payments industry or integrating with third-party payment APIs
• Experience with Vue
• Experience with AWS Lambda
• Experience with Linux, containers, and Docker
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tooling like Claude Code
