Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build the fraud platform, including fraud detection, risk decisioning systems, rule engines, and scoring pipelines
• Create investigation and review tooling for the Trust & Safety operations team
• Collaborate with product and operations to identify exposure and prioritize the roadmap
• Develop a deep understanding of fraud vectors like stolen cards, synthetic identities, and campaign abuse
• Strengthen payment integrity and harden the transaction lifecycle against abuse
• Mentor team members on Trust & Safety domain expertise and conduct code reviews

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience in fraud, trust & safety, risk, or abuse prevention
• Experience building fraud detection or risk decisioning systems
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals and distributed architecture knowledge
• Ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to validate solutions
• Strong judgment and ability to break down vague problems into concrete plans

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PHP/Laravel or similar MVC frameworks
• Experience with React/TypeScript
• Familiarity with Stripe APIs, disputes, or Radar
• Experience building internal tools for operations or support teams
• Exposure to event-driven architectures like Kafka or CDC
• Experience working in AWS (EKS, Kubernetes, RDS)
