Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system design for universal search experiences across core components
• Extend platform connectivity to new search data sources using AI-powered coding tools
• Review pull requests for authorization layers and index mappings
• Act as release manager to coordinate deployment logistics and ensure smooth updates
• Own delivery of permission-aware global search filtering features
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in on-call rotations

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience
• Proficiency in Java or TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience with third-party system integration for search functionality
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Amazon SNS, SQS, or Kinesis)
• Strong experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Experience using AI engines to increase development velocity
• Understanding of indexing strategies, document schema design, and query optimization
• Proficiency with CI/CD workflows and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on multi-tenant platforms or large-scale search products
• Familiarity with public safety or regulated domains
• Knowledge of security best practices regarding data access and query auditing
