Senior Software Engineer, Platform Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end systems and APIs that power our global SaaS platform
• Lead technical design and architecture discussions for new features and platform improvements
• Integrate with third-party APIs, telemetry systems, and network infrastructure to extend platform capabilities
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to define requirements and ship high-quality features
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code and conduct thoughtful code reviews
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and scalability gaps
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in software design, testing, and system thinking
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to a culture of operational excellence

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a SaaS product environment
• Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel or Symfony)
• Working knowledge of Golang and Python
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenSearch
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization and data modeling
• Experience designing RESTful or event-driven APIs
• Experience working within major cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to network engineering technologies such as SD-WAN, VoIP, BGP, or MPLS
• Experience with workflow orchestration engines like Temporal or Camunda
• Familiarity with event streaming platforms like Kafka or stream processing tools like Flink or Spark
• Prior experience working in a fully remote, globally distributed engineering team
