Senior Software Engineer, Platform

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own mission-critical platform systems and integrations that support operations, fulfillment, data science, and other engineering teams
• Partner with stakeholders and engineering leaders to define technical approaches and break down large initiatives
• Drive technical discussions, evaluate tradeoffs, and help the team arrive at practical solutions
• Participate in the team’s on-call rotation and respond to production incidents
• Help raise the bar on code quality through code reviews, testing, and automation
• Participate in the interview process for other engineering candidates

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years of professional Python development experience
• Experience building backend services using Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar
• Strong SQL experience including relational data modeling and performance tuning
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating production applications in AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Experience using observability platforms such as Datadog or CloudWatch
• Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with operations, logistics, fulfillment, or e-commerce systems
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience with Docker and container-based deployment
• Experience with asynchronous technologies like Celery
• Experience with workflow orchestration or job scheduling frameworks
• Experience using React or similar frontend frameworks
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
