Senior Software Engineer, Platform

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Payabli's cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Own and evolve end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast and safe deployments
• Optimize the local development experience to ensure high engineer productivity
• Enable AI-assisted development environments within a PCI-compliant infrastructure
• Define and drive the platform roadmap in partnership with engineering leadership
• Maintain security posture including network segmentation, secrets management, and access controls
• Build and manage the monitoring, alerting, and observability stack
• Document patterns and establish infrastructure standards to multiply team efficiency

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional infrastructure or platform engineering experience
• Deep expertise in AWS services (ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM)
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform)
• Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Security-first mindset regarding financial data and network segmentation
• Proactive approach to identifying and solving infrastructure gaps
• Strong communication skills to translate technical decisions into business impact

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, payments, or PCI-DSS regulated environments
• Experience enabling AI/ML development workflows or LLM-based tooling
• Familiarity with the .NET ecosystem on AWS
• Experience with observability stacks like Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
• Kubernetes experience, specifically EKS
