Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build performant, scalable Go-based microservices
• Lead technical design and implementation of complex features end-to-end
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks and optimize database queries
• Propose and drive architectural decisions for team services
• Mentor Software Engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
• Improve engineering practices regarding code quality, testing, and observability
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and QA teams
• Participate in on-call rotations and production incident response

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience
• Significant experience building production Go services
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Expert-level Go proficiency
• Understanding of API design (REST, gRPC, or GraphQL)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Understanding of observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing)
• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails
• Experience with event-driven architectures like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes operators, or ArgoCD
• Experience in high-traffic, real-time systems (sports, gaming, fintech, or adtech)
• Contributions to the Go open-source ecosystem
• Experience in the daily fantasy sports or sports betting industry
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools
