Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and drive technical initiatives including designing core platform components and making architectural decisions
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through pairing, code reviews, and design discussions
• Design and build gRPC APIs using NestJS or Go with PostgreSQL for persistence
• Build internal tooling interfaces in React
• Implement normalized data models and service communication patterns using Protocol Buffers
• Own system observability using Datadog and Sentry
• Drive AI-native development practices and establish team workflows

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with technical leadership progression
• Strong backend engineering depth in TypeScript and/or Go
• Experience designing services that handle complex business logic or financial calculations
• Strong data modeling instincts and schema design skills
• Experience with service-oriented architectures and distributed systems
• Ability to work through ambiguity and break down product objectives into engineering work
• Strong technical communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or pharmacy benefits systems
• Familiarity with pharmacy standards such as NCPDP, GPI, or NDC
• Experience building financial or rules engines
• Familiarity with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and multi-service architectures
• Experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience leading AI-assisted development workflows
