Job description

About the Company

AeroVect is transforming ground handling with autonomy, redefining how airlines and ground service providers around the globe run day-to-day operations. We are a Series A company backed by top-tier venture capital investors in aviation and autonomous driving.

Responsibilities

  • Build and extend the capabilities of the simulation environment, including integration with the production autonomy stack and vehicle/actor models
  • Maintain and improve integration as the autonomy stack evolves, focusing on fidelity work
  • Build and operate scenario execution in the cloud, including orchestration, parallelism, and runtime cost modelling
  • Build and extend the evaluation layer to turn runs into precise pass/fail verdicts
  • Develop failure-triage tooling such as failure clustering and dashboards
  • Extend scenario authoring tooling used by the V&V team across backend and frontend
  • Maintain simulation foundations including determinism, reproducibility, and pipeline performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
  • Strong Python skills with a track record of maintainable code
  • Hands-on simulation experience for autonomous systems (e.g., CARLA, Applied Intuition, NVIDIA Omniverse, Gazebo)
  • Working knowledge of simulation, modelling, and validation methodology
  • Proficiency with Docker, Linux, and distributed-systems fundamentals
  • Experience with GPU-based simulation environments
  • Experience with CI/CD and cloud execution for automated test workflows
  • Ability to analyze simulation output and telemetry to identify bottlenecks and failure modes
  • Debugging and profiling skills for distributed, GPU-bound systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
  • Experience designing and validating safety-critical systems in autonomous driving, aerospace, or robotics
  • Experience with autonomous vehicle software stacks (ROS/ROS2)
  • Experience with cloud-based simulation infrastructure and large-scale distributed test execution
  • Expertise in sensor modelling (camera, lidar, radar) or perception ground-truth pipelines
  • Experience with log/bag re-simulation from recorded real-world data
  • Exposure to safety standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 21448, or UL4600
