Senior Software Engineer

Reaching over 59 million people each month, the company provides educational content, personalized calculators, and connects consumers with fiduciary financial advisors through the SmartAsset Advisor Marketing Platform (AMP).

Responsibilities

• Own technical and architectural domains of the web platform
• Participate in an Agile Scrum team to run and scale web products
• Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to complete sprint commitments
• Make key technical decisions and document processes
• Guide technical designs and ensure successful implementation of the team roadmap
• Support asynchronous collaboration in a fully remote environment

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and scaling web platforms
• Expertise in Java (or similar), ReactJS, and NodeJS
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Proficiency with Git version control
• Experience designing and implementing cloud solutions, preferably AWS
• Proven ability to drive project success in Agile environments
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of least privilege principle and OOP patterns
• Experience in a CI/CD environment
• Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of incident, release, and change management processes
• Experience with headless WordPress or other CMS tools
