Senior Software Engineer (Zig/Rust)

Responsibilities

• Translate and reimplement the Agave validator client (Rust) into Zig with a focus on correctness and performance.
• Analyze Rust codebases to accurately map behavior, invariants, and edge cases.
• Design, implement, benchmark, and optimize core validator components using Zig and low-level optimizations (including SIMD where appropriate).
• Own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, benchmarking, and deployment.
• Perform code reviews, maintain high code quality, and document design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineers to align on design, interfaces, and performance goals.
