Senior Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end pre-sales technical strategy for database opportunities across the EMEA region
• Conduct compelling product demonstrations and webinars for SolarWinds database solutions
• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer database landscapes and performance pain points
• Design and execute complex Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Value (POV) engagements in multi-database and cloud environments
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to Sales teams, channel partners, and enterprise customers
• Translate technical database metrics into clear business value for both technical and executive stakeholders
• Provide structured customer feedback to Product Management to help shape future product development

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or database administration
• Deep expertise in one or more database technologies, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Strong knowledge of database performance monitoring, query tuning, and indexing strategies
• Proven experience with cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL
• Bachelor's degree in Computing, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to lead technical workshops
• Ability to travel regularly across the EMEA region to engage with customers and partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional, or AWS Database Specialty)
• Experience with database DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or Database Reliability Engineering (DBRE)
• Familiarity with value-based selling methodologies such as MEDDIC or Challenger
• Experience responding to RFI/RFP/RFx processes
