Senior Specialist, IT Security Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage alerts from security tools including SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, and cloud security platforms
• Conduct initial investigation and documentation of potential security incidents and escalate as needed
• Assist with identity and access management tasks, including user provisioning, access reviews, and MFA/SSO support
• Support vulnerability scanning cycles and track remediation progress
• Perform routine security checks to ensure tools and controls are functioning as expected
• Support security awareness initiatives and phishing simulation programs
• Participate in security incident response activities under guidance from senior staff
• Collaborate with IT teams and the MSSP to resolve security-related tickets
• Maintain 24/7 availability for Identity & Access Management and Security Incident Response

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years in IT with cybersecurity experience strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with EDR/XDR and network security fundamentals
• Experience with email security, phishing protection, and Identity and Access Management (MFA/SSO)
• Knowledge of M365 and Azure security features
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and SIEM monitoring
• Ability to work outside traditional Monday – Friday business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Azure Security Engineer certification
• CCNA Security certification
