Senior Staff Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design backend systems and APIs that run real-time, business-critical accounting logic
• Ship features end to end including architecture, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring
• Integrate third-party tools and external systems while managing edge cases and risk

Requirements

• 5+ years in backend engineering
• Deep experience with complex business logic products
• Strong database skills including PostgreSQL, SQL, ORMs, migrations, and schema design
• Experience deploying on AWS or similar with solid CI/CD and production-readiness fundamentals
• Hardcore work ethic and high agency

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with modern web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
