About the Role

Eqvilent is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer to own the performance, stability, and reliability of core storage infrastructure supporting high-frequency trading environments. You will manage storage platforms that underpin data processing, analytics, and compute-heavy workloads.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure storage reliability, predictability, and performance for critical workloads.
  • Own the performance and stability of storage systems as data volumes grow.
  • Design and evolve data placement, resiliency, and lifecycle strategies.
  • Improve storage integration with GPU/HPC, Kubernetes, and data pipelines.
  • Drive incident detection, resolution, and prevention.
  • Manage capacity planning and automate operational practices.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience operating large-scale production storage systems (distributed or vendor-based).
  • Strong understanding of Linux, storage performance, and system behavior under load.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues to resolution.
  • Practical approach to automation and system reliability.
  • Ownership mindset for critical systems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with high-performance or distributed storage systems.
  • Understanding of networking in high-throughput environments.
  • Experience in high-reliability or high-performance sectors like finance or HFT.
