Senior Strategic Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with executive stakeholders to define business problems and strategic objectives for modernization
• Develop business cases and partner with Enterprise Architecture to maintain strategic roadmaps
• Evaluate business processes using enterprise capability mapping and value stream analysis
• Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements and perform functional modeling
• Direct functional testing and develop new functionality to meet client needs
• Write and update project documentation, including procedures and training materials
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced analysts

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 8 years specialized in IT system functional analysis
• Demonstrated experience in strategic analysis, enterprise planning, or business consulting
• Strong analytical abilities in market research, financial analysis, and capability assessments
• Expertise in defining and managing complex business rules
• Experience using Agile tools and processes, including Jira
• BS degree in an IT-related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Mainframe Business Process Re-engineering
• Experience in zCloud and AWS/Azure Cloud Modernization
• Familiarity with BPA tools and BPMN, CMN, DMN modeling
• Experience leveraging Generative AI for documenting requirements
• Knowledge of database technologies such as DATACOM, DB2, Azure SQL, and PostgreSQL
• MBA or related advanced degree
