Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Help design, build, and maintain infrastructure systems that power the core SaaS platform
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Engineering, SRE, and Security teams
• Implement architectural improvements to increase scalability and resilience
• Build and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform or Pulumi
• Use configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef for automation
• Support and evolve containerized platforms including Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or Nomad
• Contribute to observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Mentor junior engineers and document system designs and best practices
• Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain production system health

Requirements

• Significant experience in backend, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering in large-scale SaaS/PaaS/IaaS environments
• Extensive experience with Linux in production environments
• Advanced knowledge of a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or Chef)
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or Nomad)
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash, Python, or Go
• Experience with observability stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills
