Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international tax compliance for digital assets, including income recognition, capital gains, and VAT/GST implications
• Prepare and review tax provisions, returns, and workpapers for staking, liquidity provision, and token distributions
• Develop tax-efficient structures for token launches, DePIN networks, and global operations
• Implement and maintain robust accounting processes for high-volume on-chain transactions using specialized crypto tools
• Integrate blockchain data from wallets and smart contracts into financial systems for real-time reporting
• Collaborate with legal, engineering, and product teams on the tax implications of new features and business models
• Monitor evolving global tax regulations for crypto, DeFi, and Web3 to provide proactive guidance

Requirements

• CPA certification and/or an advanced degree in Accounting or Taxation
• 6+ years of tax accounting experience
• 3+ years specializing in cryptocurrency, digital assets, or blockchain projects
• Hands-on experience with digital asset accounting including wallets, exchanges, staking, and DeFi protocols
• Proficiency with tax software, ERP systems, and crypto-specific accounting tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a crypto exchange, blockchain protocol, DeFi project, or Big 4 firm with a crypto client portfolio
• Knowledge of international tax for global blockchain operations
• Familiarity with Layer-1 protocols, tokenomics, and DePIN economics
