Senior Tax Manager

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance activities
• Manage sales and use tax compliance, registrations, filings, and reporting
• Oversee tax compliance for Canadian subsidiaries in coordination with external advisors
• Manage indirect tax compliance including VAT, GST, HST, and PST
• Partner with Accounting leadership to support international expansion in Mexico, UK, and Europe
• Develop and maintain tax compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Drive process improvement and automation using Taxware and NetSuite
• Serve as the primary internal resource for tax and compliance matters across departments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field
• 7 to 10+ years of progressive tax and compliance experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance
• Experience supporting multi-state and multi-jurisdiction organizations
• Experience managing relationships with external tax advisors and auditors
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to operate independently and provide recommendations to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, MST, or equivalent professional certification
• Experience supporting Canadian operations and tax compliance
• Knowledge of VAT, GST/HST, customs, and cross-border compliance
• Experience in SaaS, industrial technology, or manufacturing environments
• Experience with NetSuite ERP and Taxware
