Senior Tax Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, estates, and private foundations
• Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for accuracy and technical quality
• Partner with wealth advisors to identify tax planning opportunities aligned with client objectives
• Research complex tax issues and communicate technical conclusions to stakeholders
• Manage client engagements, including workflow, deadlines, and coordination with tax staff
• Supervise, mentor, and train tax professionals
• Monitor tax law developments and communicate insights through client communications

Requirements

• CPA, EA, JD, or comparable advanced tax credential
• Minimum of 8+ years of relevant tax experience
• Expertise serving high-net-worth and ultra-high net-worth individuals
• Strong technical knowledge of federal/state income tax, fiduciary tax, and gift/estate tax
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• Ability to work additional hours during peak tax seasons

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with estate and wealth transfer planning and charitable giving strategies
• Proficiency with ProSystem fx® Tax, CCH Axcess, or BNA Income Tax™ Planner
• Experience in Big Four, large regional accounting, or family office environments
