Job description

Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D models, animations, and transitions specifically for drone shows
  • Run physics checks, implement corrections, and develop take-off/landing sequences
  • Create simulation-ready procedural assets with adjustable configuration options
  • Maintain and develop in-house asset libraries, tools, and technical workflow guides
  • Implement R&D for technical solutions to support the creative vision
  • Assemble ready shows and prepare them for flight
  • Ensure all work fits within the production pipeline and set up project configurations

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts/Design or 7+ years of industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience in drone shows, motion design, game-dev (TechArt/Real-Time VFX), or VFX
  • Proficiency in Houdini and Blender
  • Experience in VEX and Python development for VFX
  • Working knowledge of physically based simulation techniques
  • Experience with compositing tools such as AE, Nuke, or Fusion
  • Deep understanding of procedural asset creation and CG animation pipelines
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with real-time/interactive media frameworks like TouchDesigner or VVVV
  • Proficiency with Redshift, Octane Render, or Unreal Engine
  • Understanding of Gitlab integration or similar version control
