Job description
Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models, animations, and transitions specifically for drone light shows
- Create simulation-ready procedural assets with configurable adjustment options
- Run physics checks, implement corrections, and develop take-off/landing sequences
- Maintain and develop in-house asset libraries, tools, and technical workflow guidelines
- Conduct R&D for technical solutions to support creative visions and solve production challenges
- Assemble ready shows and prepare them for flight while ensuring pipeline compatibility
- Create static and animation preview renders for client feedback
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts/Design or 7+ years of relevant industry experience
- 3+ years of experience in drone shows, motion design, game development (TechArt/Real-Time VFX), or VFX
- Proficiency in Houdini and Blender
- Experience in VEX and Python development for VFX
- Working knowledge of physically based simulation techniques and CG animation pipelines
- Proficiency with compositing tools such as After Effects, Nuke, or Fusion
- Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator essentials
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work with off-site team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with real-time and interactive media frameworks like TouchDesigner or VVVV
- Proficiency with Redshift or Octane Render
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Understanding of Gitlab integration or similar version control systems
